What pictures / video I may post on my blog?
I want to create a blog Vlog /. What images can I legally belong Blog in the. Say for example, if I want to review a movie or TV show, I can choose to have film clips of the show or with some sort of disclaimer? Or if I on a celebrity and their upcoming projects or just to talk about it only in general, I can post a picture of them talking? Even if I go to a fashion magazine / Website can I post pictures from this website / magazine review, if I like the style or not etc.. Thanxx in advance!
You can legally use only images that are available for public use. For movies or TV shows, trailers and advertising images, etc is made for this purpose. Celebrities have all the pictures for the public to use. Paparazzi Photos may or not fit for purpose (if it is illegal, then nobody can use it when it is legally there is still someone so obtained …). In general, cut pictures from magazines or websites is not a good idea, but if you have atleast a link to the page where it came from. Also Most sites provide links to their content, that you use on your own pages. Generally, as long as you're not an asshole, you can pretty much use any images or videos, you want, especially since your first blog with not much of a following anyway. The more popular you get the more responsibility you have to be. Remember, if it is not clear if you use the free content it hurts, do not ask the owner. If you can not find the owner, you have two options, first is simply to , To find and use alternative content second. It is what it is used (possibly against the law) and should remove a request to do it. (The second option is probably not the brightest idea for material) is clearly marked as copyrighted and not for public use. The fact that you even bother to ask, this means rather that you will be able to handle this well. No one will be preserved for the use of their material, their simple protecting their own rights.
