When we decided to move out of our fabulous but quiet plantation (Como Plantation) in St. Francisville, Louisiana, with a five miles Gravel road for all of us … We wanted these three things: an excellent public school system, an attractive, historic openness to the world and many things to do as a family.

We looked at: Charleston, South Carolina, Asheville, North Carolina, Raleigh / Durham North Carolina, and Charlottesville, Virginia, where we finally moved the is.

Education has always played an important role in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, and we have played 4 of the largest school districts in Virginia.

Charlottesville is home to the University of Virginia, founded and was the designed by Thomas Jefferson. UVA is the number one public university in America and is ranked in the nation by Business 25th Week

There are also Piedmont Community College is a two-year, accredited university that offers students the chance to attend UVA, when her first two years to do.

Charlottesville is in the world for its great historic houses, a beautiful city from the 18th Century known, and many Restaurants. Charlottesville offers a wide range of apartments, tons of parks and four major music venues.
