I am assuming you are able to work in London? If so, why not write a letter to explain your wishes and hopes, and that you like to work, what to hour, they need, what jobs have To do including a Gopher! Have many copies and send them to every magazine you can see on the High Street. Check out the free mags also. In my town Now there are several "lifestyle" mags, giving advice to eat, good bars, fashion, home, concerts, etc. You need persistent, but it can be done. They are always looking for people who would just work for the experience. If you're lucky you might get travel expenses, but do not expect anything. A friends daughter did the same thing a few years ago and with a placement ended Central TV, and another on a Manchester magazine, a bit like Time Out. You could also e-mail and telephone, but for many knock backs are made.
